SABRINA BELOUAAR

Her artworks alludes to her history, which is itself shaped by her identity, but also, and above all, by her status as a racialized woman.

She succeeds in creating works that ally politics and sensibility through the process of inscribing her cultural heritage into visual forms.

Through her pieces, she articulates a social and political problematic anchored in a present marred by marginalisation and racism. The question of identity and – more generally – post-coloniality is at the core of her artistic approach.
